Is God Real?

People often ask whether or not God is real. It is human nature to question things. The whole concept of God goes against the idea that seeing is believing. Perhaps people are just looking in the wrong direction.
When people ask me to prove God's existence, I ask them to tell me where the world came from. Some scientists say that it just happened by accident, but science says that matter cannot be created or destroyed. Must not take much to earn the title "scientist." The fact is, God created the laws of the Universe, and therefore He can also break them or bend them. It takes more faith to believe in the Big Bang Theory than it does the Creationism Theory.
Another good rhetorical question concerns miracles. Where do they come from if God does not exist? The most common answer to this question is that people fake miracles. Yes people fake miracles. You should not believe everything you see on TV or read on the Internet. People also fake Drivers Licenses. Should you never trust a person's identity based on their license? Not all miracles are fakes. Look at the situation. Is it a televangelist begging for money who performed this "wonder" or was it a street magician? Following some of the miracles that Jesus performed in the Bible, He told the person to go and tell nobody about it. He did not want hoards of attention from His miracles, rather He was more concerned with people's souls. Fact is I can introduce you to someone who was dead for ten minutes and the nurse who confirmed it. Why is He still alive? There were a lot of people gathered there praying for a miracle.
Need more proof that God exists? Try talking to Him. He will answer. Ask Him to reveal Himself to you. God typically chooses how He answers so pay attention and don't be surprised. Ask people about their relationship with God. There are a lot of people who talk with God on a regular basis. Ask them about their conversations. Testimony is one of the most powerful things...after all it is acceptable in the court of law too.

Wow no one has comented on this yet? ok sweet i'm the first one then.

Ok so you state that if you need more proof then you should ask Him himself and he will answer. But how can he answer?

Quote from "Now we know that God does not hear sinners... John Chapter 9: verse 31

It says very clearly here that God does not hear sinners"

Well if god doesn't hear sinners, but humans sin, and as far as i can tell we're still human, then "god" never hears us. If you think about Christianity and the whole penance, and the confession thing, sure you're sin free for about 0 seconds, before you, as a human being, begin to sin again for humans always are sinning.

The next thing which you probably deliberatly left out was the fact that god is "perfect". Well if god is perfect then why would he create a race of anything that wasn't. Why? To test us? To see if we're worthy to be god's creation. Well then that breaks the deadly sin of pride doesn't it? And if god is perfect he wouldn't mess up and make the mistakes like physical disabilities and all thoes health problems. It makes more sense if it was like the greek gods with the jealous Hera and the whole gods are not perfect thing going on, but if god is perfect why would he mess up so badly?

If you think i'm Atheist by the way i'd say, you're wrong. I'm nothing. To me Atheism is a religion, the fact that it's named, the religion of not believing in god. I consider myself as nothing.

While this entry does a good job at addressing the eternal question, the ultimate answer lies next door in another blog. Did you know that God, Himself, blogs on Blogger? Yeah...who knew?!?

God's Blog

He seems to be as insightful as one would expect.

Here is the rest of the quote from
In John chapter 9 verse 31 it says, "Now we know that God does not hear sinners; but if anyone is a worshiper of God and does His will, He hears him."

It says very clearly here that God does not hear sinners. There is, however, one prayer that God will listen and respond to, even if you are still struggling with the problem of your sin. If you are sincerely looking for God and cry out to Him deep down in your heart, you can be sure that He will guide you to the place where you can find Him.

"Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened." (Matthew 7:7-8)

For thus says the High and Lofty One Who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: "I dwell in the high and holy place, with him who has a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite ones." (Isaiah 57:15)

If you have not found a definite answer to the problem of your sins, please read the books listed on this website, looking up the references in your own Bible. Before you can talk to God, you need to listen carefully to what God is saying to you. Then you will know how to respond to Him.

And here are some other verses that may help:

18 The Lord is near to all who call upon Him,
To all who call upon Him in truth.
19 He will fulfill the desire of those who fear Him;
He also will hear their cry and save them.
20 The Lord preserves all who love Him,
But all the wicked He will destroy.
Psalms 145:18-20 (NKJV)

11 For the Scripture says, "Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame." 12 For there is no distinction between Jew and Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who call upon Him. 13 For "whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved."
14 How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? 15 And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written:
"How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace,
Who bring glad tidings of good things!"
16 But they have not all obeyed the gospel. For Isaiah says, "Lord, who has believed our report?" 17 So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. 18 But I say, have they not heard? Yes indeed:
"Their sound has gone out to all the earth,
And their words to the ends of the world."[11]
Romans 10:11-18 (NKJV)

Pride is in thinking more of oneself than they ought to. God is perfect, therefore He cannot think too highly of Himself, nor can we think too highly of Him. Yes He is a jealous God, and only God can be jealous without sinning because He is the only one worthy of everything. He deserves our worship. He created us with a choice to worship Him. We sinned and chose not to. Thus evil entered the World and all the bad that comes with it. However, God in His mercy has provided us a way out.
